Prof. Mookerjee has been working on the electronic, vibrational and magnetic properties of disordered binary and ternary alloys. He has also been studying the phase stability and phase diagrams of a series of alloy systems. He has been looking at the electronic and magnetic properties of rough overlayers and interfaces. Response functions in disordered systems is another area of interest.
